What is a Divya Desam?
A Divya Desam is one of the 108 Vishnu temples glorified in the Naalayira Divya Prabandham, the sacred Tamil verses of the twelve Alvar saints. The word means "sacred abode."
How many Divya Desams are in Tamil Nadu?
Tamil Nadu has the largest share of the 108 Divya Desams, spread across Chola Nadu, Pandya Nadu, Thondai Nadu and Nadu Nadu, well over half the full list.
Which Divya Desam is outside India?
Muktinath (Thiru Saligramam), in the Mustang district of Nepal, is the only Divya Desam located outside India.
Which two Divya Desams are celestial?
